CAMP OVERVIEW

At RCCG Faith Chapel, Orleans, the 2024 Children and Youth Summer Camp offers an exciting and welcoming environment for wards aged 4-14. Campers will enjoy a range of activities designed to create a memorable and enriching experience.

The camp runs for two weeks from July 29 to August 9, 2024.


Location and Timing

Venue: 2133, Mer Bleu road, Orléans, Ottawa.
Activities will be held both indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.
Drop-off time: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM EST
Pick-up time: 5:00 PM EST

How much does the summer camp cost?

$100 per week 

Can I register for only one week?

Yes you can. Please indicate this in your registration. 

Can I cancel my registration before the camp start date?

Yes, you cancel at least 7 days before camp commencement.  Cancellation less than 7 days before the camp start date will attract a 20% administration cost off your total payment. 

When is the drop-off and pick-up time?

Drop-off time: 08:30 am – 09:00 am EST

Pickup time: 04:30 pm – 05:00 pm EST

I need to leave home very early on some days. Can i drop off my child earlier than 8.30 am or pick up later than 5.00 pm?

Unfortunately, there is no accommodation for starting to receive children before 8:30 a.m. or having children picked up after 5:00 p.m. each camp day. We kindly request your support in making alternate arrangements so that you can drop off and pick up your children at the stated time. Should you require more information, please contact the Camp Coordinator.

Are there any food restrictions?

Yes, there are. We kindly request that there are no nuts in meals and snacks

Are snacks and water provided at the camp?

There will be water and snacks at the campsite. However, parents are required to provide breakfast for their children at home before coming to camp and to prepare/pack lunch for their children each day. We also require parents to ensure their children have their water bottles (properly labeled) when coming to camp each day. There will be opportunities to refill them at the camp.

Will I be updated on daily happenings at the camp?

To foster timely information sharing and updates, your number will be added to a WhatsApp group dedicated to this Summer Camp period. The group will be deleted after the camp. If you have concerns about this mode of communication, please contact the Camp Coordinator.

Are the children going out for swimming this camp season?

The plan is to have two swimming outings this season and visit other popular and educative places 

Can I volunteer to participate in the camp activities?

Parents are encouraged to get involved in this summer camp and to indicate what day they can volunteer to support at the camp. To indicate your interest in volunteering, please email rccgfcorleanscamp@gmail.com.

Are the children going out for swimming this camp season?

The plan is to have two swimming outings this season and visit other popular and educative places

How are allergies and dietary restrictions managed?

Parents/guardians are required to provide information on their children’s allergies on the registration form. This will help the team better manage situations on a case-by-case basis, as needed.

What types of activities will my child participate in?

A number of fun activities are planned for the summer camp, including indoor and outdoor games like basketball, painting, excursions, and more.

Is there a structured daily schedule?

Yes, there is a structured daily schedule that will be provided to parents/guardians during the summer camp.

What should my child bring to camp each day?

Each day, we would have a schedule which would dictate what would be required eg swimsuits on swimming days etc. These items are not required but are encouraged. Information will be provided to parents ahead of time.

What happens if my child feels homesick or wants to leave early?

The child’s parents/guardians will be contacted.

Can parents visit the camp during the session?

Absolutely! We encourage parents to visit and participate as well.
